They asked for water but got jail

The news is on front page in TOI. The title struck me. I was too hurt to say anything for sometime.
The 14 residents of South Delhi Nehru Nagar - one of them eight months pregnant - went to discuss their problem with officials of Delhi Jal Board but were arrested and spent four days in Tihar jail where they were forced to clean toilets. These residents have not got a drop of water in their houses since January this year and were demanding water which seems to be a crime for DJB and aam aadmi ki sarkar.

Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Sheila Dikshit claim that their sarkar is the sarkar of aam aadmi. But DJB officials were not happy with aam aadmi as they dared to blame them for no water. The police was not happy with the aam aadmi as they were seen as trouble creaters (a pregnant lady amongst them). The judge did not like the aam aadmi and sent them to jail.

Terrorist strike and kill innocent people in one stroke. Aam aadmi ki sarkar kill innocent people slowly. What is the difference between this sarkar and terrorists.

Problems are mounting in Delhi – no water, no power, bad roads, no security, and ….. What people would do? As a natural course they will approach concerned civic bodies to get their problems solved. It is natural that some may loose their temper. But what the government of aam aadmi does? Does it solve their problem? No. It recoils and hit back.

I am hurt that fighting for your basic rights and being rebuffed constantly has become a way of life for Delhites. If you press further then police will come, arrest you and a judge will put you in jail. People are angry over the inhuman treatment given to 14 people who asked for water from DJB officials. But DJB chief and area councilor and MLA are only giving them words and more words. This anger is rising, but the government with human face is busy with reservation, settling scores with AIIMS director, pleasing USA and making friendship with Pakistan over dead bodies of innocent Indians.

Zonal Engineer S. R. Bhatti and JE Mukesh Raghav have been transferred. See what one of the victims said on this development - "This is a good response from the government who have found out that who was guilty and transferred them. But transfer is not a solution - it is merely shifting the problem from one area to another. It seems to be a strong tool in the hands of those in power to hide their inefficiencies". How right this victim of DJB hinghandedness is.There has been no improvement in water situation even after all this mess.

It is said that constomer is the king. But in Delhi customer is jailed for daring to ask the service he deserves. SHAME ON DJB AND DELHI GOVERNMENT.

WHERE IS THE WATER?

Fourteen people spent four days in jail because they asked for water. Concerned DJB officials were transferred. People were outraged over this treatment to DJB customers. DJV top management assured all required actions to solve the peoblem. But where is the water? Concerned people are still waiting for water to drip from their taps.

And what these useless officials will do after their transfer? They will make water taps dry in the houses of the people of those areas where they have now been transferred. Why can't such people be shown the door? Why DJB is shy of getting rid of its useless stuff? The reason is clear, entire DJB is useless.
